Workplace Readiness

Core to the work of the EACC is teaching students the foundations of workplace readiness. This includes learning employability skills (soft skills), resume building, and interview techniques through classroom instruction and workshops, as well as participation in three annual events.

Employability Skills Panels (Fall)

Employability skills are the essential abilities that help individuals succeed in the workplace. Each fall, the EACC invites business representatives to speak directly with students about the most valued employability skills in their specific industries.

Mock Interviews (Early Spring)

In the second semester, students begin developing their resumes, portfolios, and interview skills. In early spring, local professionals conduct mock interviews, giving students practical experience and personalized feedback.

Career Fair (Late Spring)

Held in late spring, the Career Fair connects students with potential employers, helping many secure meaningful summer jobs in their fields. For some, it marks the start of a full-time career after graduation.
