Robotics & Engineering Technology

Students in the Robotics and Engineering Technology program learn the fundamentals of computer control, sensors, electrical design and wiring, pneumatics/hydraulics, computer aided design, and advanced manufacturing methods. 

Through project-based learning, Robotics and Engineering Technology students will have the opportunity to take on a variety of real-world projects in collaboration with their instructor and classmates.

Through work-based learning, Robotics and Engineering Technology students may have the opportunity to complete a semester-long or school-year long internship at a local business, assisting with design, assembly, and troubleshooting.

Students completing the Robotics and Engineering Technology program at the EACC will be prepared and have the required knowledge for the next step in their career journey, whether it’s college or directly into the career field.

During their two years at the EACC, Robotics and Engineering Technology students will have the opportunity to earn up to 38 college credits through dual enrollment at Vincennes University, at no charge to the student/family and by simply successfully completing the EACC program.

Students who complete the program will have the opportunity to test for Smart Automation Certificates (SACA) and FANUC Certified Robot Operator certification.

Additionally, students who complete dual enrollment courses ENG 111 (College English) and MATH 123 (Quantitative Reasoning), either through their home high school or the EACC, can earn a Machinery Repair Assistant Certificate from Vincennes University.
