Develop Your Skills

Students in the Commercial Photography program learn commercial photography and manual camera operation.

Through service and project-based learning, Commercial Photography students will have the opportunity to build an advanced portfolio, work with other classes to complete magazine cover shoots, and run social media.

Through work-based learning, Commercial Photography students may have the opportunity to complete a semester-long or school-year long internship at a local business.

Year 1 Curriculum

Introduction to the fundamentals of photography and lighting
Students learn useful work flows and current software, such as Adobe Photoshop CC and Adobe Lightroom CC
Develop an understanding of professional level equipment and studio practices
Students will become proficient in content creation & problem solving

Year 2 Curriculum

Students practice creating content for use with interactive media
Build a photography portfolio showcasing a diverse range of photography skills
Students are introduced to the foundations of web design and web programming
Work with community leaders to produce content for real world projects
Prerequisite: Commercial Photography 1

Make Your Mark

Students completing the Commercial Photography program at the EACC will be prepared to take the next step in their career journey, whether it's college or directly into the workforce.

During their two years at the EACC, Commercial Photography students will have the opportunity to earn 15 college credits through dual enrollment at Ivy Tech, at no charge to the student/family and by simply successfully completing the EACC program. Students who complete the program will have the opportunity to test for Adobe Certification in a variety of Adobe programs.
