The application for the 2026–27 school year will remain open through August 7 for the following programs with remaining openings.

- Multimedia Productions (new program) – Morning only
Health Science
Human Services
- Early Childhood Education – Afternoon only
- Education Professions
Law, Public Safety, Corrections, and Security

Application Factors
The following factors are considered when reviewing student applications:
- Number of credits earned as a ninth-, 10th- or 11th-grade student
- Grade point average (GPA)
- Number of absences during the current school year
The EACC selection team also places strong emphasis on the student’s response to one short essay question:
- “Why do you want to attend the Elkhart Area Career Center?”
- Scoring rubric for essay question

Instructions for Applying
- Complete an Interest Inventory.
- Compare your interest inventory results to the EACC Course Description Guide (Guía de Descripción de Cursos).
- Choose two EACC programs to apply for.
- Write your student essay using this rubric as your guide.
