Develop Your Skills

Students in the Cosmetology program learn the fundamentals of the beauty industry, including hair cutting, styling, skin care, makeup and nail care.

Through project-based learning, Cosmetology students will have the opportunity to develop their skills in cosmetology services working on mannequins, other students, and clients.

Through work-based learning, Cosmetology students may have the opportunity to utilize the skills being developed by providing low-cost cosmetology services to the community through clients in the EACC school salon.

Introduction to developing the skills necessary for earning the Indiana Cosmetology license including, but not limited to hair design, hair cutting, hair coloring, nail care, skin care and salon business skills
Develop the professional skills necessary to be a successful employee such as punctuality, initiative, and professional integrity
Juniors only with two year program commitment

Students completing the Cosmetology program at the EACC will be prepared and have the required knowledge for the next step in their career journey, whether it’s college or going directly into the career field.

During their two years at the EACC, Cosmetology students will have the opportunity to earn 28 college credits through dual enrollment at Vincennes University, at no charge to the student/family by successfully completing the EACC program with a grade of "C" or better. Students who complete the program will have the opportunity to take the Indiana State Board of Cosmetology and Barber Examiners (1500 Cosmetology), the industry standard for cosmetology certification.
