Graphic Design

Students in the Graphic Design program learn the fundamentals of typography, color theory, illustration, photo manipulation/editing, and layout. Students will also explore animation and UX/UI design.

Through service and project-based learning, Graphic Design students will have the opportunity to take on a variety of real-world design work in collaboration with their instructor and classmates.

Through work-based learning, Graphic Design students may have the opportunity to complete a semester-long or school-year long internship at a local business, assisting with social media, graphic design, and marketing/promotion.

Students completing the Graphic Design program at the EACC will be prepared to attend art school, gain immediate entry-level employment in a creative field, or begin a freelance career.

During their two years at the EACC, Graphic Design students will have the opportunity to earn 18 college credits through dual enrollment at Ivy Tech, at no charge to the student/family and by simply successfully completing the EACC program. Students who complete the program will have the opportunity to test for Adobe Certification in a variety of Adobe programs.

Additionally, students who complete dual enrollment courses ENGL 101 (English Composition), ARTH 105 (History of Design), and IVYT 106 (Career Exploration) either through their home high school or the EACC, can earn a Visual Communications Technical Certificate from Ivy Tech Community College.
