Develop Your Skills

Students in the Audio/Video Production program learn the fundamentals of audio and video editing, how to operate a camera, and scriptwriting.

Through project-based learning, Audio/Video Production students will have the opportunity to take on a variety of real-world radio and video projects and work with clients in collaboration with their instructor and classmates.

Through work-based learning, Audio/Video Production students may have the opportunity to complete a semester-long or school-year long internship at a local business or assisting with making radio and tv commercials that will air in the local market.

Year One Curriculum

Students will gain working knowledge of the audio/video industry, including creating concepts, scripts, production, recording, and editing using professional radio and video equipment
Students will get practical experience in field production, video editing, and live studio production
Students will learn film production, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, working with actors/crew, story development and script writing, character development, composition and visual design, and audio production, utilizing Adobe Creative Cloud software
Students learn how to produce an original 15-90 second stop motion animation short film

Students completing the Audio/Video Production program at the EACC will be prepared and have the required knowledge for the next step in their career journey, whether it’s college or directly into the career field.

Students who complete the program will have the opportunity to test for Adobe Premiere Pro certification.
